About Me

Dr. Nati DPT.

Welcome! My name is Nati Schnitman and I am a Doctor of physical therapy, strength and conditioning coach, soccer coach, and founder of Tribe Physical Therapy and Performance. I’ve helped numerous soccer players and active individuals execute tailored rehab plans so they can return to doing what they love – regardless if it’s on or off the pitch.

Prior to receiving my doctorate, I was a competitive soccer player for the majority of my life, playing for the LA Galaxy Academy in high school, as well as both UCLA and Northwestern University as a division 1 athlete. I can’t say I was “built different,” as a youth athlete, but I know I was always willing to put in the work and improve in the sport by any means necessary. Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships, failures, opportunities, and successes my soccer career gave me, as well as the teams I was fortunate enough to represent.

By the time I received my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 2016, I ultimately decided that I could impact people’s lives on a much grander scale through physical therapy and performance training, more than I ever could as a professional soccer player. Pursuing my doctorate degree in physical therapy was easily the best decision I ever made. Now I get to regularly facilitate change in people’s lives, and I get to do so while being authentic and promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors.

I have an immense passion for serving others through the lens of orthopedic clinical rehab, professional leadership, and sports performance. Throughout my clinical education I’ve worked in multiple outpatient settings, which has allowed me the opportunity to treat a variety of musculoskeletal injuries across youth and college sports, general population, professional sports, and post-operative care. Through my experience I’ve found that there’s no price tag on being able to help another human being eliminate pain and restore their ability to do what they love.

When I am not coaching or helping patients recover from their pain, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, traveling, reading, hiking, and exercising. While I’ve never been one to shy away from true hard work, I’ve found that these are the experiences that allow me to unplug and “fill my cup” so that I can better pour into others.

Whether through physical therapy, performance training, or just additional communication/education, I hope my expertise can offer you some value during your healthcare journey.
